LONDON May 11: Kerala Arts And Literary Association (KALA) has begun raising funds to help India fight Covid.
KALA’s Covid Relief Fund will be donated to charities in India to provide vital Oxygen concentrators and give relief to those who are struggling in this unprecedented crisis.
India is in a crisis. Coronavirus cases have skyrocketed in recent weeks, and the healthcare system cannot cope. Hospital beds are few and far between, and oxygen cylinders are in very short supply.
Families of those who are seriously ill with COVID have resorted to making desperate pleas on social media, looking for money or access to oxygen cylinders.
The situation is getting so desperate that crematoriums are running out of spaces to cremate people who have died from COVID-19.
To add to this, there have been reports of vaccine shortages in various parts of the country, meaning that people cannot be protected from the virus as it spreads. This is why KALA need your help. To donate click below.
