KOCHI May 17: Actress Rima Kallingal is of the opinion that Thrissur Pooram is only for men. In an interview to an Online Media, Rima said, “I’ve always said that Thrissur Pooram is a festivity meant for men.

It’s a pity. In foreign nations, do men alone take part in big festivals? Men and women take part”.

“Some might stay away due to the masses. During old times, both men and women visited public places like temples.

The fun lies there. What’s the point if men alone go out for festivals? But it’s not happening here.

Because only men make it out to the pooram”, Rima said.
