KOCHI March 6: Cinematographer-turned-director Rajeev Ravi has announced his fourth directorial – Thuramukham, starring Nivin Pauly in the lead. The movie will go on floors in March.
Nivin Pauly took to social media to share the news about his collaboration with Rajeev Ravi. The duo recently worked together on the soon-to-release film Moothon directed by Rajeev Ravi’s wife, the award-winning director Geethu Mohandas.
Thuramukham features Biju Menon, Indrajith Sukumaran and Nimisha Sajayan in prominent roles. The movie marks Poornima Indrajith’s return to acting.
The story of the film will be spread across several years, reports ToI. The director’s previous film Kammattipadam was also similar in this regard.
Thuramukham is set against the backdrop of the Cochin port. According to an IE report, the movie will be set in the 1950s. However, not much has been revealed about the nature of the story or its characters.
It is noteworthy that Nivin Pauly played a fisherman in Sathyan Anthikkad’s Puthiya Theerangal.
The movie will go on floors in March. It is produced by Thekkepat Films.
Nivin Pauly was last seen in Haneef Adeni’s Mikhael. He is currently awaiting the release of Moothon.
