KOCHI Nov 29: The producers’ association has decided not to cooperate with actor Shane Nigam anymore. Shane will not be starred in any of our films and will cooperate with him only after he refunds the amount of Rs 7 crore spent for two films, the producers association clarified at the press meet convened.

Superstars like Mammootty and Mohanlal have not behaved like this, association leaders M Renjith and Anto Joseph said.

Along with non-cooperation, the producers also levelled serious allegations against the actor. A group of young people in the Malayalam film industry are addicted to drugs.

Intoxicating substances like LSD are brought to locations, the producers alleged.“Many including Mammootty and Mohanlal have cooperated with our association according to the income of the producers.

The behaviour of Shane who has acted in two three films cannot be tolerated. Veyil and Qurbani will no longer be made. The producers have decided to bear the loss.

The decision of the association is not to cooperate with the actor unless he returns the amount spent for the films and its loss,” said Renjith.

Shane will never come to the location on time and will cite many reasons for it. Many from the youngsters are not disciplined. All film sites should be examined. We are ready to do it.

We clearly say that this is widespread. No one is ready to come out of the caravan. All caravans should be examined. There should be an investigation on it.

Many are not cooperating with AMMA organisation and the reason is they have a clear stance, said the association leaders.Drugs like LSD are used by some in the Malayalam film industry, alleged association leader Siyad Koker.

Why not examining actors. What we see is arresting civilians and exempting celebrities. The situation is such that the locations cannot be controlled.
