BJP hopes to bring more Christian priests to party

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM Sept 29: BJP is all set to face upcoming Lok Sabha elections with the support of Catholic Church and religious minorities.

The central government assumes that the party will be able to win in Kerala if they could gain the support of Christians along with the majority.

It has been hinted that Amit Shah has directed to move forward aiming at the Christian community.

BJP state president P S Sreedharan Pillai had directly involved in bringing three priests and a trustee of the church in Kottayam to BJP.

Political observers evaluate this incident as the first step of BJP getting stronger among the Christians.

The state leadership of the party hopes that more priests and believers will join the party.

They are trying to bring more people of minority by showing them that the party is inclusive of members from all religions.

A bishop had given explanation that the church has not banned anyone from joining BJP.

BJP leadership hopes that this statement will strengthen their move.
