Rules to be framed to prevent arms training in religious centres: Pinarayi

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM March 22: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said that rules will be framed, if necessary, to prevent arms training in religious centres.
The government is viewing seriously moves to run such training camps centred on worshiping places. It is VD Satheeshan from the Opposition who brought the matter to the notice of the Assembly.
He alleged that even in Devaswom board temples arms training is being conducted under the pretext of faith.
Chief Minister in his reply said that RSS men have been training its members to use danda (stick) at centres run at temples and schools.
“This have come to our notice. The government will protect persons who give information about such illegal arms training camps.
We have also come to know that some policemen have been leaking information about such informers. Strong action will be taken against them,” he said.     
The other day Minister Kadakampally Surendran also said that RSS-led shakhas are being conducted in certain temples, where they give arms training. This had come to the notice of the government.
