THIRUVANANTHAPURAM April 18: Sending shock waves through Mollywood, the new release Sakhavu starring Nivin Pauly, appeared on the Internet on Monday.
Soon after this followed a beehive of activities in the film circle, bringing out producers to file a complaint with the anti-piracy cell.
The film had hit the screens last Friday. The film is seen as a one of the best films in Nivin’s acting career. B Ragesh, the producer of the film, has said strict action should be taken against the culprits.
The film appeared on the website Tamilrockers. It is suspected that the film was copied from the theatre using mobile phones or cameras and uploaded onto the site.
The setback has come when it was doing well in theatres even after three days of its release.
The film, directed and scripted by Sidharth Siva, tells the story of Left student organisation leader Krishna Kumar and Left Labour Union leader Krishnan.
