Two more bloggers find evidence of plagiarism in Karoor Soman's book

By A Staff Reporter

LONDON Jan 3: More and more evidence of copying has been identified by two bloggers who say that their works were lifted and copied onto a book published by UK Malayalee writer Karoor Soman.

Apart from Manoj Ravindran Niraksharan, Saji Thomas from Spain and Vineeth Edathil from Sharjah has come out open on Facebook stating that their original material has been copied into Karoor Soman's book "Spain: Kalaporinte Naatil", which was published by Mathrbhumi and later withdrawn due to complaints. Visit Vineeth's Facebook page to read his views.

Manoj Ravindran Niraksharan, a noted writer who concentrates on travelogues, book reviews, social issues, cinema was the first to find out that UK based Karoor Soman has copied parts of his blog in three chapters about his travel to Spain onto Karoor's book "Spain Kaalaporinte Naatil". The book was published by the reputed publishers in Kerala Mathrubhumi Publications. Manoj informed Mathrubhumi Publications who decided to remove the books from distribution and pursue legal actions.

Now, another Malayalee writer Saji Thomas who lives in Spain has come forward saying that his writings from his blog too were copied.

Saji Thomas had gone Live from the places in Spain where he inspired to write his blog on Spain (See Video Below). His argument is that Karoor Soman copied at least 42 pages of his works. Saji Thomas has also decided to take legal acitons and requested help from Malayalees all over.

Meanwhile, Manoj Ravindran Niraksharan has posted on his Facebook saying that he is moving onto more actions in relation to the plagiariam.

However, by the looks the issue is not going to die soon with more people coming forward alleging plagiarism. Our efforts to cotnact Karoor Soman has been unsuccessful.
