Dileep agreed to pay Rs 1.5 crore to execute assault on actress

KOCHI July 12: Actor Dileep had agreed to pay main accused Pulsar Suni a sum of Rs 1.5 crore to execute the assault on the Actress, a Mathrubhumi report said, quoting police sources.
A close relative of Dileep had paid Suni Rs 2 lakh as advance, the police investigation found. The money was given to Suni at a store run by Kavya Madhavan, Dileep's wife. CCTV visuals of Suni at the store are part of the evidence against the actor.
Police also has details of phone calls that link Suni to Dileep and has a total of 19 points of evidence that prove the actor's link to the assault.
A Malayala Manorama report said that the talks to get back at the Actress began in 2013 at a rehearsal of a show for AMMA (Association of Malayalam Movie Artists).
The Actress and Dileep had a heated argument after it emerged that she had informed Dileep's then wife, Manju Warrier, about his affair with Kavya.
Puslar Suni, who was then actor Mukesh's driver, was at the venue, a hotel on Kochi's M G Road. It was there that Dileep and Suni first made plans to get back at the actress, the report said.
Later, Suni moved away from his job as Mukesh's driver. In 2016, he regularly met Dileep on the sets of Georgettan's Pooram, and they continued to discuss their plans for vengeance.
The Manorama report says that investigators came to the conclusion that Dileep thought it was safe to carry out the plan after his wedding, so that he wouldn't come under suspicion. - Sify
