CPM central committee censures VS, no action against Jayarajan

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM Jan 9: The CPM central committee Sunday censured senior party leader V S Achuthanandan for his criticisms against the party.
The central committee censured VS after considering the report of the politburo commission against him. No strict action is taken against him even after severe disciplinary violation was seen from his side.
Meantime, the central committee rejected state leadership’s demand to remove him from it. The central committee directed the state leadership and VS to move together.
Meantime, the central committee decided not to take action against former minister E P Jayarajan and P K Sreemathy in the relative appointment issue.
The central committee appraised that the appointment was cancelled soon after the controversy broke out and Jayarajan had also resigned from the post.
At the same time, the central committee did not pay heed to the demand to include VS in the state secretariat. Instead, he will continue in the state panel as an invitee. He will have the right to speak in the state panel.
VS had earlier told reporters that he was satisfied in the talks and had suggested fair and just things before the central committee. Party general secretary will inform the decision officially, he added.
