If not for Manoj Abraham CM would have been beaten up: Adv.Jayasankar.

KOCHI Dec 5: Advocate Jayasankar has taken to Facebook again to take a jibe at Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan for receiving the ire of the fishing community at Vizhinjam.

He has compared Pinarayi with former chief minister Oommen Chandy.

He has said that Vizhinjam church is not like the Brennan College, and that the fishing community is not like the RSS. He also reminded that unlike RSS members, the weapon of the fishing folk are their oars and not knifes.

He said that if not for Manoj Abraham and a battalion of police to protect the CM, the latter would have got beaten up mercilessly.

He also took the opportunity to picture how it would have been had the Ockhi cyclone happened during the tenure of former chief minister Oommen Chandy.

Jayasankar said that ‘Kunjunju’ would have come rushing to the tragedy stricken place even before the cyclone left the area; would have kissed the hands of the vicar of the church; would have consoled the relatives of the fishermen who went missing; and would also have declared that he would not sleep until the last boat that went out fishing returned.

He added that the media syndicates would have also praised Oommen Chandy for his timely intervention, and Manorama and Mathrubhumi would have come up with very good editorials also. This would make the cap of Kunjunju overflow with flowers.

He concluded his post by saying that when even Ramesh Chennithala could not match the level of Oommen Chandy, what chance does Pinarayi stand.

CM Pinarayi Vijayan had on Sunday visited Vizhinjam to take stock of the situation there after the place was devastated and fishermen went missing in the sea following the Ockhi cyclone. However the people there gheroaed the CM saying that he took close to five days to visit them.
