Norka-Roots to channelise Non-Resident Keralite investments

KOCHI July 30: Norka-Roots has started procedures to set up the much-discussed business facilitation centre which will channelise investment from Non-Resident Keralites (NRKs) to Kerala.
Expediting the process, Norka-Roots is now on the lookout for investment promotion agencies and institutions to partner with them for setting up the centre.
According to officers, Norka-Roots has called for Expression of Interest (EoI) from experienced agencies and institutions to provide expertise to Norka–Roots in this regard.
The main purpose of the centre will be to engage the NRKs in making investments in the state. The centre will act as a single window facility for NRK investors leveraging their experience in making the state an investment destination.
An amount of Rs 3.5 crore has been sanctioned by the state government for the scheme.
The centre will also provide investment advise to NRK investors apart from customised professional support to the investors.
The centre will form a network of industry expert enabling them to share domain knowledge with prospective investors.
It will also facilitate assistance on services like banking, taxation, market entry and others to provide assistance.
