THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Dismissing reports which suggested that the beverage outlets across the state will be shut down in the wake of coronavirus outbreak, Kerala State Beverages (Manufacturing & Marketing) Corporation (KSBC) stated that it will seek legal action against those who are spreading fake news.

Earlier, certain reports had stated that the beverage outlets across the state will remain closed till March 31. However, authorities clarified that only the outlets located in the Ranni region, where the coronavirus case was reported, have been closed so far.

According to KSBC Director MD Sparjan Kumar, the corporation has not issued any orders regarding the closing of outlets across the state and all those reports that say otherwise are fake.

Meanwhile, the total number of coronavirus infected people in the state has become 14.
