Hugging row: Students can take exams; settlement reached in Kerala

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM Dec 30: The hugging row at Mukkola St Thomas School has virtually been resolved. In the compromise meeting held in the presence of Shashi Tharoor MP on Friday, the school management agreed to allow the two students to write exams. Exams for rest of the subjects will be completed by January 3. The students, parents and the management representatives were present at the meeting.
Now, there are no hurdles in the path of two students to write exams. But there is a technical issue in the case the boy’s TC and attendance requirement. There is a shortage of 60 days’ attendance for him.
The management representatives clarified that they would approach the CBSE in the boy’s case, citing that the shortage of attendance was due to disciplinary action against him. Moreover, the management also decided to expunge the remarks it made against the boy in the high court.
