UK Malayalee girl Varada Warrier on prime time BBC drama Hard Sun

LONDON Jan 7: UK Malayalee girl Varada Wariyar has landed a very important role in a BBC TV series. Hard Sun is a BBC drama which was featured on BBC One on 6th January 2018. The series will contain six episodes.
It premiered on BBC One in the UK and then Hulu in the United States from 7 March 2018. All episodes were available on the BBC iPlayer from 6 January 2018.
Hard Sun is a pre-apocalyptic crime show set in contemporary London. The protagonists are two police officers, Charlie Hicks and Elaine Renko who, whilst investigating what appears to be the routine death of a hacker in London, stumble upon proof that the world is facing certain destruction - in five years.Hard Sun is the latest in a spate of apocalypse stories which have emerged in the past couple of years.
Varada was doing veterinary medicine but she left to pursue degree in science alongwith a diploma in drama from the Bristol OLd Vic Theatre. Varada has already acted in several TV serials and also acted in a Hollywood film 'Now You See Me 2'.
Varada, is daughter of Dr. Sethu Warrier, who works at the Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust as consultant in paediatric neurodisability,  and Anitha Wariyar, who is a renowned dancer in the UK, and Varada has another sibling Abhaya. The family hails from Kozhikode, northern Kerala.
