World Malayalee Federation members to participate at Loka Kerala Sabha on Jan 12

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM Jan 2, 2018: World Malayalee Federation's five mmembers will represent the organisation at the Lok Kerala Sabha event hosted for NRIs worldwide to be held in Thiruvananthapuram from January 12 to 14.
Government of Kerala has decided to constitute Loka Kerala Sabha (LKS) as a common platform for Keralites living across the globe. It is envisaged as a platform for the cultural, socio-political and economic integration of those living abroad with the home Kerala.
The five representatives who will represent WMF are WMF's vice chairperson Anie Libu (USA) , UK patron Haridas Thekkemuri, Europe Region PRO Sirosh George Pallikkunnel (Austria), St Lucia Coordinator Siby Gopalakrishnan (West Indies), Global Executive Committee member John Xavier (Chech Republic).
The Loka Kerala Sabha will be attended by MLAs and MPs from Kerala, elected Malayalee representatives of other states and other countries. The nominated Non Resident Keralites' (NRK) tenure is for two years and the Loka Kerala Sabha will have a minimum of one sitting in two years. In the first stage, only Keralites having Indian citizenship will be considered.
