Malayalee fighting for his life after being hit by speeing car at zebra crossing

MANCHESTER March 15: A Malayalee from Manchester is fighting for is life after being hit by a speeding car at a zebra crossing.
Reports says that Paul John, a native from Ayarkunnam Koodallur back in Kerala was returning after picking up his ten year old daughter from school and was at the zebra crossing when the car hit him an others causing injuries to others on Tuesday afternoon.
Reports say that apart from Paul all others have had suffered only minor injuries and his daughter was discahrged from hsopital after receiving first aid.
An air ambulance, paramedics and police were called to the scene when the four pedestrians were struck by a Kia Picanto at around 4.45pm.
The collision occurred at the junction of Hollyhedge Road and Woodhouse Lane, and both roads remain closed following the collision.
A GMP spokesman said: “We were called to Woodhouse Lane at the junction with Hollyhedge Road at about 4.45pm, to reports of a collision between a car and four pedestrians.
“The man has been taken to hospital with life threatening injuries. It is unclear at this stage what injuries the children have suffered.
