Sree Narayana Guru Mission to hold unique event for youngsters on July 29

LONDON July 26: Sree Narayana Guru Mission centre ( 16 Barking Road, East Ham ) will be hosting a special and unique event on Sunday 29th July 2018 from 11.00am, primarily aimed to bring together youngsters -up to 40 years- from the local community, as well as for the older generation.
The  subject covers the last 20 years of Sree Narayana Guru and this event is aimed to facilitate discussions/debates on "Individual freedom versus Cultural Norms". The event will conclude around 4pm and there will be a break for food and light refreshments.
This unique event celebrates the life of Sree Narayana Guru from the viewpoint of our younger contingent in our community, supported by lively presentations and debates by the younger generation of volunteers.
Whilst Sree Narayana Guru was alive, his disciple- Nataraja Guru- wrote a biography on Gurudevan and it covered Nataraja Guru’s personal interactions with his Guru. The biography was published in instalments in the Sufi Journal, in Geneva, Switzerland, and the first of the two chapters were published while Narayana Guru was still alive.
On the 29th July 2018, the young supporters of the Mission will share with us, the wonder and marvel that is Sree Narayana Guru. The event will create a conducive environment for the young people to come together, develop their presentation skills, public speaking, and debating skills.
The event will further provide a healthy arena to network, help and support each other through life’s challenges and grow in their respective business, career, friendship, and importantly realise the value of their culture and roots.
The event will conclude around 4pm and there will be a break for food and light refreshments.
