National Council of Kerala Hindu Heritage UK to hold national literary fest on June 23

LONDON June 6: The National Council of Kerala Hindu Heritage (NCKHH-UK) welcomes Malayalees of the UK to Sanskriti 2018 on Saturday June 23 at Willenhall, Coventry. This will be a platform for people of all ages to showcase their talent in singing, dancing or giving speeches. 
 
The show will run from 10am to 7pm and will be a cultural event portraying the proud Hindu tradition.

All performances must also be symbolising Hindu tradition and guidelines have been provided for various performances:
 
If you are entering the singing competition, the track must be a Hindu devotional song that lasts up to six minutes. These can be songs from Films or Albums and can be with a karaoke track. Please ensure that the track is of good quality.
 
The age range for the competition are as follows:
 
Sub Juniors (5yrs to 11yrs old)
Juniors (12yrs to 17yrs old)
Seniors (18yrs and above)
 
If you are entering the dance competition, this will be a Bharatanatyam competition with a track that is maximum 10 minutes long. The track should be also of good quality.
 
The age categories are:
 
Sub Juniors (5yrs to 11yrs old)
Juniors (12yrs to 17yrs old)
Seniors (18yrs and above)
 
The Speech competition will take place in English for Sub juniors, who’s topic will be on the Message to society from Lord Sri Krishna’s Life and for Juniors where the topic is Yuga Purasha Parampara (Adi Sankaracharya, Sree Narayana Gurudevan, Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamasa Devan, Sri Vidhyadhi Raja Chattampi Swamikal). 
 
Seniors however will have to deliver the speech in Malayalam and the topic will be Daana Dharmmam Nithya Jeevathil.
 
The Story writing competition is only open to those 18yrs and above and should be in size 12 font on A4 size paper with maximum 1500 words. This is to be typed in Malayalam and emailed to nckhhuk@gmail.com before the 15th of June 2018. The topic is Kalki & Me (The message of the story must be on Hindu Values)
 
The Poetry competition is only open to those 18yrs and above and should be about the Life of Krishna. This is also to be typed in Malayalam and emailed to nckhhuk@gmail.com before the 15th of June 2018. The conclusion of the story must be a message of Hindu Scriptures.
